Government Degree College, Chintalapudi as part of the Azadika Amrita Mahotsava program, in commemoration of the 75th celebration, Unnamatla Eliza Garu, the local Honorary Legislator, planted saplings to mark the greenness of the tricolour Flag in the college, Principal Dr. P Srinivasa Rao, faculty and NSS students participated in the program.

World TB Day 2022 - Let's conquer 'Tuberculosis' with awareness!
On the occasion of World Tuberculosis (TB) Prevention Day on 24th March 2022, Government Degree College, Chintalapudi organized Tuberculosis Awareness Program under the auspices of the College NSS Unit. Dr. P. Srinivasa Rao, Principal said that a wide variety of micro-organisms are killing some humans vertically. Among them are Corona virus, HIV viruses as well as Bacterial Tuberculosis (TB) and World Health Organization calls for awareness to prevent and conquer Tuberculosis. Dr. A Venkateswara Rao, NSS Officer, Lecturer in Chemistry said Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease that is transmitted by bacteria with the droplets that come from sneezing and coughing in patients. Symptoms of TB include cough, fever, weight loss, and chills in the evening for more than two weeks. Apart from these, if you are infected with tuberculosis, you will sweat. Decreased appetite, get tired quickly. It has been suggested that if such symptoms are present, chest tightness may also lead to fatigue and that appropriate precautions should be taken to prevent tuberculosis. The event was attended by faculty, NSS volunteers and students.
World Water Day 2022

On the occasion of World Water Day on 22nd March 2022, NSS volunteers from Chintalapudi Government Degree College in the local Kanupada village mobilized solutions to the causes of water scarcity with the motto "Water is life - It is the people's shield". Ground water is being questioned in the West Godavari hilly region where people are increasingly dependent on ground water for cultivation and drinking water. In such situations, the College NSS Officer, Environmental Researcher, Dr. A. Venkateswara Rao participated and said borehole recharge chambers are required to drive away rainwater and conserve groundwater. The event was attended by NSS Team Leaders, and Village Youth Leader, M.Rajesh, Village People, College NSS Volunteers.

Clean-up Event

On Feb 25th 2022, NSS Volunteers conducted an environmental Clean-up Event. As part of the program, the college cleaned up the rubbish and prepared the college for the National Seminar held on 26.02.2022.
