GUEST LECTURE- DEPARTMENT OF TELUGU

On September 28, 2022, a Guest Lecture was conducted on the topic of Gurram Joshua Sahityam under the auspices of the Telugu department. The Chief Guest, Dr. K. Sudhakar, Lecturer in Telugu, Government Arts College (A), Rajamundry, observed that though born in a dalit family, he rose to the dazzling glorious poetic heights and is fondly called Navayuga Kavi Chakravarthi. He, with his mighty pen, waged a war against the fundamentalists and emancipated down trodden to the respectable stature. He has touched upon every possible subject in his poetry which includes poverty, destituteness, plight of women, hyphenated lives etc. Students and faculty participated in this program.
