The Department of Botany, the Department of Horticulture and the Department of Chemistry jointly organized a Two Day National Workshop on “Mushroom Cultivation and Entrepreneurship on 05th & 06th May, 2022. Sri P. Vijayanand IPS, Addl.DGP (Rtd), Govt. of Kerala was Chief Guest to the Event.  Dr. P. Srinivasa Rao, the Principal presided over the Workshop, Smt. N. Manimala was the Convener, Dr. A. Venkateswara Rao was the Co-Convener and V. Madan Mohan & Dr. B. Lavakusa were organizing secretaries for the Workshop. 

 

The Chief Patron Dr. Pola Bhaskar, Commissioner, CCEAP, Patron Dr. David Kumaraswamy, J. D., CCEAP, and Dr.Ch. Krishna, RJDCE, Zone I & II, greeted the Delegates online on the occasion. Mr. N.J.K. Narendra Kumar, the Vice-Principal & the HOD, Department of Physics congratulated the Department of Botany & Chemistry and the Organizing Committee. The Chief Guest Sri P. Vijayanand IPS spoke about the importance of Mushroom Cultivation, the Speaker explained the nutritional value and medicinally benefits of mushrooms and Sri. Jayachand, Trainer, Thanusri Mushroom, Vijayawada explained the Mushroom Cultivation practically (Hands-on training). Smt. N. Manimala, Convener and Dr. Syed Meer Hasim , the Director, IQAC gave their valuable speeches.  Finally Dr. A. Venkateswara Rao, the Co- Convener concluded the workshop with his vote of thanks. The event ended with the National Anthem.
