Department of Botany conducted “World Earth day” on 22-04-2022 along with Department of Zoology and Physics. Now is the time for the unstoppable courage to preserve and protect our health, our families, our livelihoods… together, we must “Invest In Our Planet”. Because a green future is a prosperous future.

Students were made awareness on the importance of earth and consequences of pollutions and threats to biodiversity, and conservation measures. There is only one earth to all living organism. As long as it is healthy, all living organisms will be at safe otherwise there is immense threat to Biodiversity. All students should take part in greening the campus and their surroundings; stop the plastic pollution, energy conservation etc. All these activities will be given credits in internal evaluation too to students.

Awareness slogans containing stickers were released on this event for display on prominent places of the campus. Sri V. Madan Mohan Rao, Lecturer in Botany, N.Manimala, Lecturer in Botany, K. Ratna Kumari, Lecturer in Zoology, Kumari G.J. Mounika, Lecturer in Physics and B.Sc. students participated.
