NATIONAL SEMINAR on “The Problems of Malnutrition in India”

The first ever one-day National Seminar on the problems of “Malnutrition in India and Future Prospects” organized in association with National Institution of Hyderabad on the occasion of National Science Day Feb 2022. Dr.P.Srinivasa Rao Principal and Chair of the Event presided over the seminar.

The Chief Patron, Dr Pola Bhaskar, Commissioner and The Patrons, Dr David Kumaraswamy, JD, and Dr C H Krishna, RJD Zones 1&2, CCEAP, greeted the Delegates virtually. Dr. J.Sreenivasa Rao, Scientist-E and Deputy Director National Institute of Nutrition, Hyderabad, the chief guest who said that Government is taking up many initiatives and introducing several schemes to promote health by providing required awareness on the importance of Nutrition. Sri K Naveen Kumar, Food and Drug Chemist, Tahsildar and Mandal Executive Magistrate talked about the importance of Nutrition and its benefits to the youth. Sri Sundar Rao, Member, CPDC and Leading Advocate, talked about the importance of health and nutrition in one’s life. Dr. Ravindra Babu, Lecturer in Chemistry acted as a Resource Person for the Technical Sessions. Dr.AVenkateshwara Rao, Convener, Lecturer in Chemistry talked about the significance of the day and added that regular intake of Nutritious diet shall keep the drugs away. Dr. Syed Mir Hassim, Director, IQAC and Lecturer in English, floated a new idea on the occasion, that is, the College shall adopt a new Healthy and Best Practice from that day onwards. And the best practice is to include walnuts in the refreshments given to guests. All the guests and staff were given away walnuts during the event.
